To insure a space at any One World Trek program, it is important to register as far in advance from your desired start date as possible (especially for summer programs). Registration consists of: 1. Submitting a completed application and a $100 registration fee OR 2. Submitting a completed application, $100 registration fee and full payment. The total cost for the program is due 3 weeks prior to the start date. Applications and full payments received less than three weeks prior to the start date will be subject to an additional $35 late registration fee. All payments may be made with paypal, VISA, Mastercard or bank transfer.
Within 2-3 weeks of receiving your application, One World Trek will mail you the “Need-To-Know” fact sheets and a confirmation letter. Your final confirmation is only mail after One World Trek receives your full payment and all other necessary information (airline arrival particulars, etc.). Check these confirmations carefully to make sure that everything is correct. If there is an error, call us immediately.
Refund Policy / Changes
All program fees must be paid at least 3 weeks prior to arrival otherwise One World Trek reserves the right to cancel the student’s place.
For Cancellations or Changes 3 weeks prior to your arrival:
- The 100 $ deposit will not be returned for any cancellations made.
- All refunds will have an administration charge of 10% (a minimum of 65 $).
All participants who wish to cancel their program (course and / or accommodation) prior to their arrival should notify One World Trek in writing by e-mail (email@example.com). Verban cancellations will not be accepted or honored.
No refunds can be given for any cancellations made later than 3 weeks prior to arrival or during your stay. Exceptions can be considered on request.
All changes within 3 weeks of the scheduled start date are subject to an additional $50 fee
Changes after arrival: to be made with the school under their conditions. For One World Trek you will be entitled to no refund after the program starts.
One World Trek cannot be held responsible for cancellations due to Act of God.
Local holidays and events
Some events that appear on the schedule may change times or days, according to the local officials. We will do our best to offer similar, replacement activities in the case of a cancellation.
While it is our intention to adhere to the route described, on occasion it may be necessary, or desirable to make alterations. Due to our style of travel, it can be unpredictable. Our itinerary is a general guide to the tour and region and any mention of specific destinations or wildlife or other attractions is by no means a guarantee that they will be visited or encountered. Additionally, any travel times listed are approximations only and subject to variation due to local or other circumstances.
All of the activities, entrances, transportation, and meals listed in the program are included in the price of the program. Additional costs that will be paid by the attendee include snacks, meals not listed, or souvenirs.
Companions of Participants
Children, spouses and friends may accompany participants. Please contact us to make arrangements. If they do not wish to take the Spanish courses, there will be a price reduction, and they will have free time.
You agree to irrevocably grant to One World Trek, the non-exclusive, absolute and unrestricted right and permission to record, reproduce, adapt, edit, copyright, publish, exhibit, distribute, perform and otherwise exploit by any and all uses and media, now known or hereafter devised, throughout the universe in perpetuity (collectively, “use”) your appearance, name, likeness and voice (collectively, the “likenesses”), including but not limited to, likenesses captured by One World Trek’s agents, employees, volunteers or other participants in One World Trek’s, in and in connection with the tour in which you participate, including but not limited to, marketing and fundraising materials, and on One World Trek’s website. Recognizing One World Trek’s reliance on this Photo Release, you irrevocably release and hold harmless the licensed parties from any claims, damages or liability arising from or related to the use of the likenesses, including but not limited to, privacy, publicity, or defamation. You understand that, once the likenesses are used on websites, the likenesses can be saved and downloaded by any user, and you therefore agree to indemnify and hold harmless the licensed parties from any claims damages or liability arising from or related to publication of the likenesses. You hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the likenesses now or in the future, and you waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the likenesses.
One World Trek programs are geared toward adult educators (21 and up). Although programs have options for students under the age of 21, no one under the age of 18 will be accepted into the program unless accompanied by an adult. One World Trek cannot be responsible for providing supervision of any kind either through the schools or during the activities.
Participants are expected to be courteous and respectful guests. Illegal drug use or abusive behavior at any age or alcoholic consumption by minors cannot be tolerated. One World Trek reserves the right to refuse to serve, to cancel and/or terminate participation for any person who fails to comply with the policies of the program provider (e.g. school, tour operator, program organizer), or for any other reason deemed necessary, in the sole discretion of One World Trek. One World Trek further reserves the right, without escort and without refund to send home any participant who violates the rules stated above. The return trip will be at the expense of the participant.
Travel medical insurance including personal medical as well as emergency evacuation and repatriation up to US $200,000 of coverage is compulsory. You will not be permitted to participate in the trip until your group leader/local representative has seen evidence of travel insurance coverage. You can also purchase cancellation insurance as well, which is something we HIGHLY recommend.
One I am aware that international travel presents certain risks, hazards and dangers, including but not limited to injury, property loss, illness, drowning, disease, death or serious disability, and that my exposure to such risks exists in and is inherent to participation in international tourism even with the exercise of due care by me, or One World Trek. In consideration of the right to participate in the tour, I hereby assume all risks and dangers including, without limitation, those described above and all responsibility for any loss or damage without regard to the cause, type or extent of the injury.
I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives, estate, executors, administrators and heirs, hereby voluntarily agree to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend and indemnify One World Trek and its directors, employees, officers, agents, volunteers and contractors from any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, liabilities and losses whatsoever that may arise out of my participation in the tour. It is my specific intention to relieve One World Trek from all liability regardless of the cause.
